I am running a DXCluster (DXSpider) that requires registration (username/password) to submit Spots. This is a network-wide motion to fight anonymous Cluster Spam as we have seen during the Bouvet DXpedition, this has to Stop.
Now I have implemented secure shell (ssh) access to the DXCluster to protect user login credentials. Telnet which is still widely used is plain text and unencrypted. And here is my point. Log4OM is very convenient for setting up the SSH tunnel with the help of the Auto Start feature. When Log4OM starts it will automatically start the SSH tunnel and the Cluster client can connect through the encrypted tunnel to the DXCluster server, totally transparent to the user.
Putty allows loading/opening a named profile e.g. "putty -load dxcluster.hb9vqq.ch_7322" which can be used by the Auto Start feature. The user documentation can be found here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tzy ... sp=sharing
Web access - https://webcluster.hb9vqq.ch/
Telnet access - dxcluster.hb9vqq.ch (Port 7300)
SSH access - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tzy ... sp=sharing
Spot submissions require registration
