Settings Russia award

Hallo,

Try hard to display the Russia award , but no luck.

Want to show my WORKED stations in Russia as per State in Eur/Asia.
In logbook all STATE details are used, but CNTY mostly empty

Something is wrong of course with my settings, please help me with the right settings.(Display DXCC and WAS award all OK)

If you look at how the Russia award is calculated (Menu "Utilities/Award manager)
Click on "Russia" in the list on the left then look at the "Award type" tab, we see that the calculation is done by REFERENCE

Then if you click on the References tab you can see the list of references used
This means that this reference must be entered in the "Comment" field of the QSO

For example:
I contact RX0F which is in SL as a reference, so I type SL in the "Comment field" ; I validate and I tell Log4OM to recalculate the statistics (menu "Settings/Maintenance/Rebuild statistics")

then you can go to the awards (Menu "View awards status")
your SL reference must be validated (you can also see this by double clicking on the QSO and looking in the "Award Refs" tab. you will see that the Russia diploma is validated: RUSSIA@SL)

Thks for reply; If I understand You correctly, I have to add MANUALLY (QSO by QSO) all the CNTY codes of my 1000+ logs in the Comment Field.
(STATE details are already correct)

Use Adifmaster and copy-paste the State to the comment field ...

Sorry no luck here, failed to copy STATE details to COMMENT field.
In LOG4OM save logbook via Export to ADIF selected fields (all fields) but can not find column COMMENT in Adifmaster , so not possible to copy STATE details to COMMENT field.

Is there another possibility ?

hello
surprisingly the "comment" field is a completely standard ADIF field, but otherwise you can do this directly in Log4OM with QSO Manager (utilities / QSO Manager menu)
you make a filter with the State field to show only the QSOs whose State field is not empty
and
then you sort on this State field by clicking on the column header,
you manually select all those with the same value in this state field and then you click "Sign filed update",
you select in this new window "Field to upadte" at Comment and in the "New Value" field you type the same as the contents of the State field and it will copy by itself

It's harder to explain than to do because it's really very easy to do.

If you are not used to it, try on a copy of your log until you get the right result

Hi F6FLU,

Copied all "AR" (Archangelsk) QSO's from the STATE field to the COMMENT field in ONE session as You advised .
All copies are OK in the COMMENT field now.......BUT the OSO details are now not showing in the RUSSIA award.
ONLY.... showing in the award if I manually insert "AR" in the QSO field (one by one QSO....)

Maybe a bug in the program ? Plse test

I think you have to add a blank character on the State using this method
Try to put "AR "
I think I saw this bug a long time ago.

Sorry Daniel,

No luck here, only manual insert per QSO of the STATE in Comment field works.
Unfortunately the Award is not usable for me and don't know what to do now.

So sorry: forgot to update statistics and rescan the qso references....
Was hard working to copy the State details per Oblast towards the Comment fields, but all OK now.

Is here someone who works with the Ukraine award (WAU work all Ukraine); can not find this award in Log4om
