Difficulty with the DXCluster and the frequency displayed on my radioayed on radio and delay
Posted: 07 Sep 2023, 12:03
Any ideas please?
When I use the DXCluster located within LOG4OM, it is causing me a problem. If I select a call from the DXCluster list with my mouse, often there is a delay and sometimes the frequency is slightly incorrect e.g. 7.155Mhz may be shown on the cluster, but the frequency on my Yaesu FTdx101D is often slightly different, e.g 7.156.4, may be displayed on the radio instead of 7.155Mhz. At other times there could be a different frequency displayed on my radio (close to 7.155Mhz) - it varies. At other times, the correct frequency is displayed on my rig.
I checked the serial port and radio settings, but I cannot find anything wrong.
My version of LOG4OM is 2.28.0.8.
The computer mouse (wireless) works well with everything else on the computer.
The Yaesu FTdx101D is using Com Ports 5 & 6, Bit rates per second 38400, Data bits 8, Parity None, Stop bits 2, Flow control None.
The computer is a Lenovo Yoga AIO (All in one) 7 27ACH6.

Processor AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics 3.20 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.4 GB usable)

Product ID 00355-60734-76488-AAOEM
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display

Version 22H2
Installed on 01/09/2023
OS build 23536.1000
Serial number Removed
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.23536.1000.0
I replaced the mouse and the problem still exists. I also downloaded a different logging program to see if the problem still continued in that program and it doesn't. I have used LOG4OM for a long time and ideally I would like to continue using it.
I also have the latest firmware on my Yaesu FTdx101D.
Is it a software bug?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Many thanks,
Bob.
