JT Alert is "stealing" the UDP message that is sent to Log4OM
That's because when an application sends UDP packets the "first responder" gets the message and nothing is left to other applications.

That's normal behaviour and, in some cases, can create troubles if the "reader" is not the log and the message is a "save QSO" message.

We have developed some advanced functions to get rid of this set f you don't have possibility to tell JTAlert to forward messages to Log4OM.
The configuration is a bit trick, but basically make use of Log4OM PROXY connection.
JTDX should be instructed to send packages to a DIFFERENT PORT, where Log4OM with the proxy connection is LISTENING messages (and using them).
The PROXY connection will then RESEND the message to another listener, and you can choose the port JTAlert is listening (the default JTDX port) to send this message to JTAlert once used by Log4OM.

I think that's covered somewhere in the user manual too
