Log4OM

I was reviewing my log today and identified what I call duplicate entries. Strictly, they are not duplicates because the time stamp is 30-45 seconds difference. The other difference that is common is the reported frequency which might be a clue.
1) Time Stamp is 30-45 seconds between the two entries
2) The frequency on the first entry is for example 21076.3. The frequency on the second log entry is 21076.325.
3) LoTW has confirmed both entries both entries if the QSO was confirmed. If not, both are LoTW Receive = No.
4) Based on the comments, both entries got generated by WSJT-X on the same machine.
5) I would guess at about 10% of my log has these "duplicate" entries.

All other fields are the same.

I am slowly going through and deleting the earlier duplicate as in many cases, QRZ only confirmed the later entry - Another clue maybe?

I am just learning the features of QSL Manager and wonder if I somehow downloaded from QRZ/LoTW and it added these entries.

I would welcome any suggestions to prevent this from happening again.

sounds like your using both UDP and adif monitor for the WSJT import, thus the dupes, one with start time and the other end time logged

First fix the dupe origin by dissabling ADIF monitor

Then export an ADIF file from Log4OM and import that ADIF file into a NEW log4OM database but use the 'Duplicates threshold' in the import window set to 60 seconds

I will look up ADIF Monitor in the manual and figure out if I am using it invertedly. Its not every log entry, just a percentage of them that get the duplicative (30-45 seconds apart).

I plan to review my UDP connections because I want to integrate GridTracker in the UDP dataflow and document the setup. I also use SDRControl and it sends its log data to Log4OM. Those are received fine and never have a duplicate. I know I changed the UDP Settings in Log4OM a month or so ago because a version changed required me delete and add back the settings.

I manually deleted each duplicate log entry already so I don't believe there is a need to export and import with duplicate threshold filter. Unless you think that has other benefites?

Looks like you are logging the qso's from both gridtracker and wsjt, also check the 'Remote control' tab

You might be right on GridTracker. I had it loaded for a while, not really using it or convinced it was working right. This may explain the "intermittent" nature of the duplicates. I will be redoing GridTracker ASAP.

ADIF Monitor was off and remains off. However, the option on the same ADIF screen to Update Inbound Data using external sources is checked (on). Not sure if that is irrelevant because to upper checkbox to Enable ADIF monitor is off.
