LoTW upload hangs when duplicate - bug?

Versions:
  • Log4OM2 2.30.1.5
    TQSL 2.7.2/2.5/11.27
Issue:

I have a couple of QSOs in my log that are already uploaded to LoTW but are not marked as such in Log4OM2 as they were uploaded outside of Log4OM2. Every time I attempt to search, select required, upload, TQSL upload hangs here:

If you try to cancel it, you get this:

2024-01-14 11_54_54-Parsec.png (98.22 KiB) Viewed 13530 times

If you do exit, you can later find TQSL still running in the background (and invoked by Log4OM2).

LoTW is configured as follows:

2024-01-14 11_58_58-Parsec.png

interactive mode on or off makes no difference.

Repro:

upload QSOs to LoTW which have already been uploaded but aren't marked as Sent YES. If the Sent NO is changed to Sent YES manually for each QSO, the issue goes away. Reoccurs every time if there is one in LoTW upload that is already present in LoTW.

Debugging:

I didn't look at the log today, but I didn't see anything indicating the cause when this happened a few weeks ago for the first time, even with Trace on. However, when you export these QSOs to ADIF and upload them manually through the TQSL GUI, you do get a question whether you really want to reupload these. Is this what's blocking this UI window? Having full debug output of TQSL in the Log4OM2 log would be nice..

A unfortunate side effect is that the upload on close part will hang forever when this occurs.

Is there a way to pass /a all or --action=all to tqsl.exe? I think that overrides this issue. Anything else I can provide to help debug? I checked -t option but I can't find the log anywhere..?

Interestingly, when I open the QSO up from within QSL Manager, select QSL, select LoTW, and hit upload, the QSL is uploaded to LoTW quietly and successfully.

Christian,

Your LOTW Temporary Path location will give you such errors. Move that directory under the Windows O/S: "Documents" or "My Documents" folder.

Make the change also in your LOTW Configuration in Log4OM.

Should work for you once you do that.

See images below where I have my LOTW Temporary folder located.
