IC 7100

My IC7000 died and I replaced it with an IC 7100. However, though trying variations in HamLib and Omnirig (using IC 7000 and other IC xcvr settings) I cannot get Log4OM and the 7100 to talk. Being standardized on Log4OM, I could not think of changing to another logging program. So, at the moment, I am stuck hand entering frequency when operating, rather than any CAT communication between the program and rig. And, of course, there is no auto QSY when clicking on a spot in the cluster....

I am close to getting things to work using Hamlib by modifying the IC 7000 profile for 2 stop bits and a CIV address of 88h....Log4OM connects and reads the frequency, but then communication between Omnirig/Log4OM and the IC 7100 stops.

I noticed on Afreets web page that currently there is no IC 7100 rig profile available for Omnirig...I am not technical, so need to find how to get this done.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Don,
I think your best chance of getting this working is with Omnirig so!

Did you download the latest rigs file from the Omnirig website, most times although the rig is not listed on the site it's included in the latest rig file!

Also did you try this.....

If you still can't get it working please let me know and I will try to assist by direct communication via Skype
