Worked SV/LZ2HT/P which was locatet at a greece WFF (SVFF-069) ... tried to set the WFF in the awards tab but only see bulgarian WFF numbers. Checking the Country and see that L4O use Bulgaria instead of Greece .... Maybe a bug in the country file ??

Yes it seems that Log4OM is not recognising the country as Greece from the SV prefix
If you manually change the country to Greece in F2 then the WWFF codes for SVFF are available in the F3 Tab

Yes, i have changed manually but think it has to be fixed with the next coutry database udate.
b.t.w. have checked othe combinations like SV/LZ2HT without /P and LZ2HT/SV ... but all has the same result and show "Bulgaria" .... Have take a look to the country.xml but SV for Greece looks o.K. I´ve no idea whats wrong

It is impossible for me to correct this in the country file.
This is not a log4OM problem.
As I've stated time and time again, the logic expects a number following the suffix. It must be this way or how would the program know if it's Greece (SV0-4 and SV6-8), Crete (SV9) or The Dodecanese SV5?
In many cases, the number following the "prefix" defines the country or even the letter following the prefix, VK9L, VK9C or VK9X.
So, by the rationale of this operator who could be on Lord Howe could sign VK9/LZ2DUMB and expect Log4OM to be a mind reader. Absurd! End of story.
In this case, the proper country cannot be determined from the call entered, so it defaults to the home call, Bulgaria.
This is another case of ill informed or idiot operators not signing correctly.

Hi Chuck,
think the problem ist that guest operators at SV mainland only must use the SV without any numbers. Other thing is SV8/9/5 or mount athos. Is it a problem to declare SV only in the country.xml as Greece ?? The guest Op´s following the CEPT rules if they use SV/Homecall on the mainland. What does ARRL LotW doing ?? Think they confirming greece if a SV/ was uploaded. Not shure about this but i hope so.
For me it´s o.k. to change manually but i think a lot of L4O users don´t take a look what country was logged and then they receive emails from HRDlog.net or Clublog with "wrong county" issues. They write "You have logged Bulgaria but we changed to Greece. Please correct your log" or something like this. B.t.w. SV9 and SV5 are own DXCC entities (Crete and Dodecanese) they don´t count for Greece. So i think it´s not a problem when SV only shows Greece to. Guys who working from SV8 Islands or SV5/9 have to use this numbers by the CEPT rules.
Only a idea
B.t.w. it´s not against you Chuck ... You´re doing a nice job with your xml files

Hi Juergen,
You wrote "B.t.w. it´s not against you Chuck ... You´re doing a nice job with your xml files"
No, I don't take it personally.
The major issue is that people don't want to play by the rules and we are resolving DXCC entities, nothing else including the CEPT rules.
Under the CEPT rules, the guy could be on any of the Greek DXCC entities (SV5, SV5 SV/A, etc) and use the SV as the prefix which would not be correct for DXCC purposes.
The country file is based entirely on the DXCC rules and Log4OM does a fine job at resolving correctly.
The bottom line is that without a major change to the logic, we are bound by the DXCC rules and definitions.

I know the problem but the CEPT rules are made by the governments of the countrys where you can operate as a guest without a special guest license. If the greece government say that you have to use SV/ if you´re operating from the greece mainland then it´s law .... The DXCC is an ARRL thing ... they could not made own rules over the had of government laws ....
I see that LZ2HT is a LotW user but i´m not shure he loading up for SV/LZ2HT. If i got a "confirmed" by LotW and it shows greece i will inform you here in the tread

LOTW uses the country code not the name in matching. Also, the call sign could be anything and you would still get a match as long it is exactly the same on both sides. LOTW does not resolve entities by the call sign at all.
LOTW uses call sign, country
code, mode, band, date and time for matches.
We are playing by the DXCC rules, noting else. DXCC doesn't care about CEPT nor does CEPT care about DXCC. It's the game we play.
Right or wrong, that's the real world of this "hobby".

Hi Chuck,
after reading the CEPT rules for greece i have to say you´re right and the OP gives a wrong prefix. In the first row was the information that we have to use SV/Homecall if we operating from greece but a step deeper i´ve found die information that numbers are needed for different greece locations ......
So you´re right if you say that the OP makes the mistake ...... That means the country.xml works correct

It's a common problem.
I think Chuck can easily add "SV" to greece, but this will be a deviation from our "standard".
Reading SV as Greece could be useful for users, but could drive to a wrong record in database.
If user is from Mount Athos or other DXCC's you will never notice that. If user reports SV and you read BULGARIA, you will be forced to ask him "hey, what is your country?".
Our policy is to have the best software and the best callsign management, but users must follow rules. The day we did hypotesis on user country is probably the day we can't be sure of our software anymore. So, yes, in some cases Log4Om still require human actions
