Log4OM

Hello All,

Hope that I have posted in the correct department????

Came across this wonderful logging programme last night and wondered what would be the easiest method of importing my contacts from Win-EQF to Log4OM?

Any useful advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi John,

if WIn EQF has a ADIF export function the easiest way is to export the whole log as ADIF and import it to L4O ....

Export your log from Win-EQF and then import the file (File>Import ADIF) from the File drop down. Be sure to check the "Update Countries in ADIF" box.

That should do it.

Don't forget to create a new database in Log4om before importing the WinEQF ADIF

I´m only 56 but grey too .... I changed completly from HRD (Free) to L4O around 1 year ago and it was vy easy ... Some helping hands here in this nice group .. Let us know all is o.k. or not after the next 48 hrs

Many thanks for your help and assistance in getting me up and running using Log4OM.

Since starting to use computer logging in the early 1990's, I have always put "Closedown" in the callsign field, in those days, closedowns and "CQ" calls had to be entered in the log as many of you will be aware.

However, when converting my old log to ADIF, the word closedown upset the system big time, I was prompted to ignore the entries as the conversion encountered them and I was happy to continue in that manner, but on transferring over 2000 contacts each time, the transfer collapsed.

After some head scratching, I found a way of gathering all closedown entries into one big block and blitzing them, transfer to ADIF was so easy after that.

I am now up and running smoothly, but it will take time to get used to not pressing any keys on entering the other station's call sign as their details including antenna bearing appears on the screen as soon as their call sign is entered.

Lots still to learn, hope to get you into my new log!!!

Oh boy! That takes me back in time, now where is mt Zx81?

Remember those machines well Terry, dug mine out and sold it on eBay a couple of years ago.

Have managed to progress a little since those days, I think we all have???
