Size of frequency read out

For those people having issues with the size of the frequency and mode display in Log4om there is a solution as follows
1. Use a virtual serial port splitter - I use Eterlogic but there are alternatives
2. Set Log4om to connect to the new VSP com port splitter
3. Download and install FLRig (Its a free program)
4. Set FLRig up for your radio using the same VSP com port and baud rate that Log4om is set to
5. In the Log4OM Settings/settings 1 tab use "Enable software start" to automatically start FLRig when Log4om is started - See image below

Not working for me with my old Icom Rig
My CAT interface is using a virtal serial port and i don´t find any comport splitter software who can split virtual ports. only those who can split hardware comport
That´s why i asked longer time befor it´s possible to use flrig as cat software in L4O or not. Should be impossible as the use of a splitter for me

Juergen,
I use the Eterlogic VSP splitter and it all works FB for me as in my original post
During the last three days it has run without issue while testing otherwise I would not have made the post

Hi Terry
You give us very precious information! Many thanks.
I will tell my story. I would like to have the ARC-990 (Radio Control Program from Kenwwod) to command my TS-990 and Log4Om at same time with Omnirig.
I have never tried it before!
But it works very well !
Now I have the complete command in my TS-990 and log4Om working well via Omnirig.
I guess that other colleagues that have a software control from their radios it will work as mine. Now I have not only the CAT as before ( QRG / MODE) but also the complete Radio command for all functions as I have in TS-990 - all commands I access via ARCP
Terry your message make me think, it works for me really well.
Now I do not use FLdigi but only the ARCP from Kenwood that uses all possible menus from radio.
Again thanks to bring this subject.

Hi Manuel,
Yes you are correct any radio manufacturers software that can either use Omnirig or a VSP can be used in conjunction with Log4om
Unfortunately I don't have one of the rigs that have manufacturers software but I have the following programs all running simultaneously and synchronised either with Omnirig or the Eterlogic VSP
Hardware 1
IC756 ProIII
RFSpace SDR-IP
Elad switch box
US Interface Navigator which has a built in Winkeyer
Begali Contour Key
Hardware 2
IC7000
RFSpace SDR-IQ
Elad switch box
G4ZLP Digimaster Pro Three with built in Winkeyer
Kent key
Software and connection method for both setups
Log4om- Omnirig
SDR-Radio Consul- Omnirig or direct
MixW for RTTY + Winkeyer

- VSP
Bandmaster - Omnirig
CW Skimmer- Omnirig
FLRig - VSP
FLDigi - RPC direct to Log4om

Hi Terry,
I followed all your steps step by step but it is as if the two software, and log4om flrig, go to the conflict. Flirig shows strange numbers in the frequency domain, while in the frequency window of log4om the frequency is not updated and remains fixed. Can you tell me if there is to set some other parameter that you have not mentioned? thanks

What Radio
What VSP
What software programs
What OS
What interface cable
What version of Log4om
