Live readout and capture of receiver signal strength ....

It would speed DX QSO's and capture in real terms, the receiver signal strength present at the time of log capture. How involved is the work given 1001 transceiver I/O requirements?

Thanks and regards,

Kumar,
Hope that you are well?

Because of the varying types of information obtained via CAT between different makes of radio this can only be done either through an Audio connection between rig and computer or via an I/Q connection as with an SDR receiver

With either of the connections mentioned it can be achieved in software but as we always said we are building a logging program and we leave this sort of specialised programming to the experts in those fields like Simon with his SDR-Radio Consul software.

For 99.9999% of our users the signal strength recorded manually is sufficient

This is something about i have made some thoughts in the past.
The real issue is the signal is varying very fast (SSB...) and other stations may call before/on/after the counterpart station, so it's almost impossible to determine when you're listening your counterpart signal to be saved...
