Just found this program, and truly impressed. I initially set this up on a laptop with a localized SQLlite set up, and took a bit - but I have it working mostly. However, I am thinking about long term and how to handle offline needs. Let me list a few of the user needs:
- Ability to share utilize the same database, if needed, between two computers
- Most, if not all HF traffic, will be done on the laptop
- Desk Computer will be use limited for VHF/UHF traffic
- When camping, and do not have cell phone service, I would like to be able to log QSOs and append them when I get home
So, I am wondering if a shared ADIF file would work, or leverage the MariaDB instance I created tonight, and then have a separate local version.
If the later would work, how do I take information from the local sqllite db and push to the MariaDB (manually or automatically)?
I have a MariaDB instance locally, but would also like to know of any free cloudbased db or even file based solutions as well.
Thanks in advance
