I don't understand how the "CUSTOM" QSL system works

We are receiving more and more QSLs directly via email like this example
So I try to put in the Log that I have received a QSL via email
so I choose "CUSTOM" and I put "YES" in the Rcvd field as shown in my screenshot
I validate and save
We notice that in the right part of the list of different validations EQSL, LOTW etc there is no "CUSTOM" field

After this manipulation if I open this QSO again and the CUSTOM field is not validated

If I search via the Utilities/QSL Manager menu by looking for CUSTOM = Yes, Log4OM finds nothing
I suppose that this is not the right manipulation

Can you explain to us what would be the right manipulations to do to indicate that we have received a "QSL" using this CUSTOM field so as not to confuse with other possibilities

Email QSL's have no value for awards but I would record them as Electronic, not custom

yes that's what I've done so far but since there is a CUSTOM option I wanted to simply use it but apparently it doesn't work

It does work but not for what your trying to achieve

Its there for future confirmation types, perhaps they send you a badge for your jacket for a confirmation - Place holder

Alternatively for those awards that dont match QSO's but trust the user posting the contact to their web site, like IOTA once they accept your submission it qualifies.
