HI,

I have never been able to get Hamlib connections to the radio to work. I'd like to use the TCP option in the Hamlib setup but it has never worked for me. So for my SDR radio connected to my other PC I have to use another logbook.

Are there any TIPS for getting a Kenwood connection working with hamlib over TCP IP?

Working Screenshots would be helpful.

Well yes it does. I have it running with flrig over the local network.

I unchecked the TCP checkbox on the upper right of the Hamlib setup dialogue box.

I use the flrig server. You can also use the Hamlib rigctld command for TCP/IP connection, but I think it's easier to use flrig as a server and specify "FLRig" from Hamlib to connect.

I don't operate remotely, but you can start two flrigs, one for KENWOOD and one for SDR with different Xmlrpc port numbers, and use rigctlcom with TCP connection for each. rigctlcom has a startup parameter to select COM or TCP. Depending on the application or combination, com0com may be required.

Alternatively, you can start rigctld for each rig and use it as TS-2000 with TCP connection. However, there are many connection methods and combinations, so it seems a little difficult. Please check the functions of the rigctld and rigctlcom commands.

I only operate logs with Log4OM2, and I only use one rig, and I also start applications that do not support flrig at the same time, but if you have multiple rigs with TCP connection, you may need to switch CAT connection with a different Log4OM2 account.

As an example, here is my connection example with one rig and one PC. I think the rig in this example will be the TCP connection destination.
