How does one access the Special Call List (SCL) 'Lookup' - see page 47 of the user guide - I have looked but 'am unable to locate it.

I have NH8S in my ADIF file from DX4WIN, but Log4OM is showing the country as American Samoa, when it should be Swains.

Thanks

The user can view the current contents of the SCL by (1) Utilities>Log4OM SCL Contents or (2) http://www.k7pt.com/SCL.htm

This can happen when you import a adif file and you choose "Update Countries in adif" because NH8S is not active now. Not being currently active, the call resolves to the "mother" country for NH8 which is American Samoa.

You must select the QSO(s) and change the country manually.

This call was active in 2012 and is not in the current SCL file.

I have updated the Log4OM country file effective Aug 11, 2014 that should take care of this.

Thanks for the update.

Interesting however in that when I imported my adif file from DX4WIN the "Update Countries in adif" option was NOT chosen. I did that yesterday in fact and only came across the NH8S anomaly today when looking through the user guide.

The SCl is for those calls that cannot be resolved to only one country, i.e. TO, VP8, VK9 series calls, etc.

When a call is entered, the first place that Log4OM looks is the SCL and if contained in the SCL, looks at the operating dates. If active it uses the SCL data, if not proceeds with the normal lookup and tries to resolve it using ClubLog, the country file and the internet looks ups.

That's a brief summary of how it works.
