Log4OM

When I try to connect my 440s to log4om the cat status light on the bottom only goes green for a few seconds then goes red again. Obviously something I am doing is not right. Any help would be appreciated. Stuff, here windows xp, Gateway computer. My cat cable is prolific but works on hrd, winlog, n1mm logger and all others I have tried. I doubt it is that.
