I've watched the Awards Ref videos and getting a handle on most things but can you tell me why SOTA is missing on this particular QSO? It's in teh list of other QSOs I have set with the Summit, but not this one. Where do I enter provide SOTA to this QSO/Callsign?

What is the call sign for the QSO

It's VK2BYF/9
but changing it to VK2BYF and trying again does not bring SOTA into the list either.
The Summit is SOTA VK9/LH-004 Malabar Hill on Lord Howe Island

also - SOTA is listed in My Refs, but not Award Refs

OK Fixed!

It was a combination of a SOTA change to associations and I had not spotted it required an update to our table. Life would be a lot easier if SOTA MT would listen to developers when we request they use the DXCC reference number also.

So please in Log4OM go to settings/update resources and select SOTA to update the file I have modified.

Sorry for the inconvenience, hopefully its the last for a while

OK - well I did that... I worked my way down all the Resource updates
I also exited and restarted Log4OM
I also tried an experiment, export one QSO and re-imported (changed time)
But the 3 QSOs I had with VK2BYF/9 and the new one I just tested still do not provide SOTA in the list of awards. It's not required in the other two but still no SOTA to choose from.
Other QSOs with VK2BYF (i.e. no /9) in other places, do have SOTA in the drop down list.
So I changed a /9 QSO to have no /9, saved exited L4OM and restarted,,... still no SOTA
But I've run out of ideas as to how to fix it here.. I note the warning about not updating too many times.
Alan

BTW - you have VK2BTF/9 I had VK2BYF/9
If I start to create a new QSO with VK2BTF/9, I have SOTA, if I start to create a new QSO with VK2BYF/9, no SOTA

I have downloaded summitslist.csv and I see this entry
VK9/LH-004,"Australia - Islands","Lord Howe Island Group","Malabar Hill",201,659,159.06096,-31.5127,159.06096,-31.51270,1,0,01/05/2013,31/12/2099,5,28/04/2021,VK2BYF/9

Alan,

I was just following along on your thread and just completed the SOTA update that Terry noted above after some changes/updates.

I then put in vk2byf/9 and was able to find SOTA vk9/lh-004 without any hiccups.

When you did the SOTA maintenance update did you wait until the round banner appeared in the Main UI near the "note" label? If you then were to click on that button/banner it would indicate that the SOTA maintenance had fully completed. It does take some time.

Screen clip below of what I've noted.

Round banner?
I get an exclamation mark and these are the messages behind them

Alan,

Yes ... if you clear/view updates the button disappears. Once a new update is completed the button will again appear.

I just cleared mine before I did the SOTA update and waited for the the update notification to appear.

Once it did then I stepped through the process with the call-sign you noted.

It took a minute or two or three (I didn't run a stopwatch) before the update was completed on my installation.

Well, still nothing here.
I've waited a long time. If I use MY callsign I see SOTA but not VK2BYF or VK2BYF/9

In any case, why is it associated with a particular callsign? What is it in his callsign that needs to be set to allow SOTA as a reference?

I've come back after some time - several hours, tried it again and now I finally get a green message as below
UpdateMessageSOTA.PNG

And the VK2BYF/9 can now be assigned a SOTA reference
I must say that the yellow sign in the previous post does not clearly imply any failure of an update process. Perhaps it should be less equivocal and say, "update failed at this time".
