Install fails

On my Windows 7 box I have a small SSD for C: with the OS and program files. My user data is on D: with spinning media.

The Log40M install fails at:

Code: Select all

Error opening file C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Roaming\LogOM\Log40M_enu.pdf

The system cannot find the path specified. 

There has not been a folder "LogOM" created under the "Roaming" folder.

During the install un check the box for downloading the user guide

This is a known bug which I am surprised we have not fixed

You can download the user guide later from the help menu

By the way manual download on my PC works flawlessy with standard installation.
I think it's related to difficulties on web server that have been reported elsewhere. I'm investigating but...

In log4om PROGRAM folder there is a install log in TXT. Can you please send me your install logs from c:\program files\iw3hmh\log4om folder by email? iw3hmh (at) log4om.com

This is during the program instal, could the path be pointing to the old server?

I had a similar problem with my installation today.

The folder noted in the 'error label' that was posted above was not created by the installation APP.

I went and manually created the folder and the installation went along just fine ... and I did click to have the 'help' file downloaded.
