Log4OM with new Yaesu FT-991 settings???

I do not have an interface for connecting the FT991.
So i can not do a test.
Problem still unsolved.

I noticed that Yaesu released a new firmware for the FT-911 on August 17th 2015, I will try to get my friends to update and see if anything has been changed to make CAT work with Log4OM.

Hi ,
I have done the latest sofware update.But for some unknow reason the power outputs are now way too low.I will
need to call yaesu to find out.This radio doesn't like me to find a solution

Hi ,
Have the TRX back now (a faulty design in the power amp ,but now updated and repaired)
Now back to the issue .Omnirig has now the FT-991 in their list.
Question is what do i have to do to let the FT991 communicate with the program ?.
I have tried it but no succes !

Usual checks as follows


1. Make certain that you have selected the correct com port in Omnirig
2. Ensure that you have the same baud rate set on the radio and in Omnirig
3. Check if there is a radio menu setting to select the correct function for the connection to the computer

Hello Terry,
Finally it works.
TRX connected with USB cable (not rs232)
setting need to be as follows.
TRX
cat-tot 10mS
cat-rts disable
Baud rate 38400
LOG4OM
baud rate 38400
com port 3
leave all other settings as default

Please install latest rig.ini file (see website omnirig)
This works now .
Only thing i do not see the vfo B when in split mode on LOG4OM.

So finally a result.

Can you send me a copy of your program log (enable trace mode) after having made some switches in your rig between VFOA/B Split ON and OFF?

Hi Terry,
I followed your instructions but the file which is generated (whit trace option),i can not find this .
It is not in the folder that shows up.
So i can not send the file.
I use 1.22 as you know.
