Changing the Search Limit Count

Post by VK7XX »

I couldn't find an answer for this in the manual.... On the bottom of several windows there is a 'Search Limit Count' which is editable on each place it appears. I usually change the count on my 'Recent QSO' window to 100 however, I have to do this every time I start the program. Is there a setting somewhere that I can 'permanently' set the number on this particular window to something other than the default 5000 ???

Hi John,
At this time there is not a user setting to change this.

What is the reason for always limiting to 100 QSO's

actually it's hard coded.
I'm evaluating possibility to move this information to the config file (manual change on every release will be needed, but will be possible, in a text file)

Speed. Hello Terry, thanks for the reply. I do not currently own the fastest of computers and even 5000 Q's in the list takes a moment or three.... and when I change it to all (zero) which I have had to do once or thrice, go make a cuppa and come back later :-)

Its not important, I can live with the speed, but would change the setting if I could.

thanks for your info as well Danielle. If implemented, I will use it... If not, well, not all that important :-)

Hello,

with time, software evaluates.
I do see this :

Display limit (0 = all)

If I enter 0, and restart the program, it still limits up to 5000. Is that correct or am I doing something wrong?

Evert, when you change it to 0, are you then clicking on 'Refresh' (bottom left of F8 window) ??

Limit is saved when set to something else than zero.
change the value to 100, press tab and restart log4om. This should work...
