FLDigi integration

Post by G4DWV »

I am chasing this up on the FLDigi Yahoo group but wonder if you can help a little?

I use RigCAT for my rig control and xml-rpc is needed for Log4OM. The trouble is that both will not stay active/selected as 'use' at the same time; they toggle. The author of FLDigi says they should stay active at the same time.

Will Log4OM work correctly with FLDigi if xml-rpc is not working even if the FlDigi status lights in communicator are 'green'?

TIA.

You should only enable RPC/XML in Fldigi, no other rig control

Log4om should be connected to your radio via Omnirig

Log4OM sends the frequency and mode data to Fldigi

Hi Terry,

I want to use RigCAT for maximum compatibility between my rig and FLDigi. I do not want Log4OM to control anything at present, I just want it to log contacts from FLDigi. I may change my mind in the future though.

From some testing done after my last post, it looks as if Log4OM logs okay without xml-rpc, the FLDigi lights are both green in communicator and OmniRig is working FB.

It is really very puzzling the number of control paths and their directions that are available.

With kindest regards as always.
