I have been trying to get data from LOTW to "feed into" my Log4OM software. Contacts that have been confirmed in LOTW do not appear as confirmed in Log4OM. I have attached a screen shot of my External Log page in Log4OM.
A friend who also uses Log4OM told me that I should have two passwords, one for LOTW and a second one for my LOTW certificate. Since I run TQSL on a "private" computer, I do not have a password and am not prompted to enter one in order to upload and download QSO's to LOTW. I have attached a screen shot showing my TQSL certificate properties. As you can see the last item "Password: None".
I am able to download QSO's from Log4OM using the QSL Tools > QSL Management options. Attached is a screen shot from Log4OM.
Thank you for any advice you can provide.

Re: Log4OM not recognizing LOTW data
On the Recent QSO (F8) page, have you done a refresh?

Re: Log4OM not recognizing LOTW data
If you are expecting to IMPORT QSO's that are not already in the Log4OM database by this method it will not happen - The procedure is purely to update the existing QSO's with any change in the LOTW QSL status
On the other hand if you are saying that existing QSO's have not been updated by a download, then there is something set incorrectly in Log4OM on your computer because the feature is proven to work correctly
This question reoccurs on a regular basis and there are many posts on this forum explaining the procedure but here is an explanation of the requirements once more
When uploading to LOTW Log4om employs the TQSl program which certifies the upload - For this it is necessary to have a correct station ID and the relevant user names and passwords, if passwords are used with TQSL.
Downloading however only uses the user name and password - The station ID and TQSL password are irrelevant with regard to downloads
Therefore if your download is failing it is because you used an incorrect user name or password or it was entered incorrectly (Wrong case)
On very rare occasions the user of LOTW uses strange characters in the password, like @#$£%& and these are not recognised - If your password employs these character types then change your LOTW password!
The user name and password will be the same as the one used when you log into the LOTW online website - NOT THE TQSL PASSWORD

Re: Log4OM not recognizing LOTW data
Terry,
Tailgating on this thread ...
What about LOTW uploads done on a prior logging program that had not yet seen/received a response from the other OM to confirm/validate the QSO?
Will a LOTW download done, after importing that full log from the other application, be able to find the contact and update the log entry?

Yes of course!KI5IO wrote:What about LOTW uploads done on a prior logging program that had not yet seen/received a response from the other OM to confirm/validate the QSO?

If the log was imported using an ADIF file and all entries that are on LOTW appear in Log4OM then the QSO's will get updated for LOTW QSL status during a download.
You need to initially do an LOTW download using the earliest start date of the logbook entries contained in Log4OM

Re: Log4OM not recognizing LOTW data
Terry,
Thanks very much.
I typically do my LOTW uploads/downloads at the end of the month ... as I'm not a 'massive' user or contester at all, but was wanting to be sure of how it works as best as possible.
Goes without saying that I'm continuing to learn more and more about this great Log4OM application.
Thanks very much.
