"Logbook Layout"?

Post by kc2nyu »

Hi- new to forum and to Log4OM. Have been a HRD Logbook user in past.
Here's my questiIons.
- In HRD Logbook there was a tab called My Logbook, where u could see you entire logbook and scroll up and down to see all the contacts in ur log. Is there an equivalent screen or page I Log4om?
-- can I customize the Layout of the Fields displayed in my Logbook view ??

Hi Paul,

Welcome to Log4OM and the forum!

Yes, there is a display of your logbook. Click on the Recent QSO (F8) tab. If you have more than 5000 QSO records, only the latest 5000 will display, but you can increase that number by resetting the "Display Limit" in the lower right corner of the window to a higher number. Or set it to 0 (zero) to display all QSO's.

Then to modify your layout, click on the Layout label in the lower left corner of the window. You can add, delete and reorder fields. You can also click on the Column Width tab to modify column widths. Note, you can do this to each window which displays QSO's - for instance the QSO Archive window, and it can have a different layout from the Recent QSO display.

See page 52 & 53 of the Log4OM Users Manual for specifics and examples.

Re: "Logbook Layout" -Part 2?

Post by kc2nyu »

OK, i have imported into Log4om my HRD Logbook going back to 2009 but the LOTW and eQsl status of the contacts did not xfer.
- I read the manual starting on page 93 on eQsl download. went to QSL Management, filled in the date range, hit the down arrow, another window popped up and I filled in date range again and hit Download. So that window seemed to get the eqsl staus on my qsos, but how do I get this information to show up in in QSO Information (f7) tab where I now have my entire log that I transferred over?

Use the Layout of the F7 Window and add/remove the fields you want to see or not ....

Hi Paul,

I am confused a bit. Are you saying that the QSO's do not appear in the QSO Information (F7) tab? If that is the case, the F7 tab only displays QSO's for the callsign you enter into the CALLSIGN field above. That is to see if you have worked that station before. Your log in on the Recent QSO (F8) tab.

If you meant the Recent QSO tab and that the eQSL info is not showing up in those fields, that is another issue. When you downloaded the eQSL info from the QSO Management window, did the eQSL Rcvd Status field show Y status, and Date Rcvd for those eQSL's confirmed?

Doug - sorry for the confusion- when you said"

------ YES- when I download from EQSL using the QSL Management window-- the proper sent/rcv'd and date status shows up there. But I can't figure out how to get to show up in the QSO Information (f7) window where I had added the various EQSL columns. Is there some step to have it show there?? Once I get EQSL squared away, then I want to the same with LOTW status for all my QSO's

Paul, the F7 tab will only show qsos for call entered in callsign field.

Do the eqsl status show up in the F8 tab?

If the eqsl status does not show up in F7 tab, and that is your intention, can u verify the eqsl status does sbow up for same qso's in F8 tab? I will have to check that out. I'm at airport right now, will check this evening.

Doug - I had my f tabs wrong in last post, I should have said f8 tab. I am trying to get the download eqsl status to show up in the f8 field. I have the columns but the information that shows up in the QSL management window is not showing up in the f8 windows - all the eqsl columns are blank.

Hope I haven't confused you
