I'm trying to get LOTW to work "upload to LOTW" download works fine. When in Settings External logs I entered my LOTW info, but keep getting an error in the Temporary path "C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\LogOM" this is where I have a problem, in the logOM folder there is not LOTW folder.
This is the error I keep getting.
"Error saving configuration.
Access to the path
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\LogOM\Config.xml is denied"
Any help is appreciated.
FYI it worked before, I had a harddrive crash and had to reinstall everything included TQSL and requested and installed a new callsign cert which shows as

Re: LOTW support
Hi Nameless ....
download from LotW works with your call and password for the LotW page ... Upload is a bit different ... You need installed TQSL on the computer, you need to set the path to TQSL in the Log4OM settings and installed TQSL need the setting to a Key file (P12 or so) ... I have tested all older and newer Log4OM releases and i have also had an HDD Crash .... After reinstalling all was working perfect after change the settings to the new TQSL Folder and after setup TQSL to the active Key file ...

Re: LOTW support
You are trying to save the LOTW temp file to another file - This cannot be done
The correct path should be
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\LogOM\LOTW
Select this folder in Options/External logs/ under LOTW settings "Temporary path"
If the LOTW folder does not exist then create it
Why did you select to save to a file (Config.xml) anyway??????????????

Re: LOTW support
Thank you for the responses.
I will create the path tonight and try it out. I did not try to select to save to the "Config.xml" file, that was what the error message said, I only tried to click on the LogOM folder. TQSL I believe is setup correctly after I received my new cert. I'll double check that as well.
My computer is acting weird after the fresh install so I'm not convinced that I don't have some other problem going on.

Re: LOTW support
Well I added the LOTW folder and tried again with no luck. Then noticed all my desktop icons where semi-transparent. Right clicked on a few and they were listed as hidden and the read only check box was not checked but it wasn't empty either it was colored like folders within were checked? Weird, I just did a clean install too. Seems like a ton of my folders became hidden.
Anyways, I did get Log40M to save without an error finally. Thanks for the help.

Re: LOTW support
Hello guys,
A hint to a newcomer of Log4OM is also very much appreciated on the LoTW issues!
Have set the program (Log4OM) up relatively recently, but have been using LoTW for a longer time. Previously I have uploaded my certified logs (usulally once a month) manually to the LoTW website. So, currently my LoTW confirmations database (at the site) and my Log4OM log in my computer are not anyhow related, i.e. my Log4OM log does not have any info on the LoTW confirmations.
My question now is - how can I take all my 50k+ QSO-s in Log4OM and check it against my LoTW database? So that the result will be "LoTW confirmed" records in my Log4OM log as well. Also, will there be any problem with an extra issue that my log at LoTW is a merged log of my 2 main call-signs - ES2MC and ES5MC - so, not all the Q-s will find a "match" at LoTW?
Gratefully,
Arvo, ES2MC
P.S. I guess that I have set up both of the "paths" in LoTW Settings in "External logs" tab correctly, but have not figured out from the help manual about such a procedure (to upload a single Q seems understandable, though I have not tried it...).

If you are downloading from LotW into Log4OM, it should update your recent Validated QSO's. If this is not happening, then something is amiss with your LotW download. See page 93 of the Log4OM Users Manual. Also, this video may be helpful - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLT3UuMlocc
If you would like to update all past DXCC/LotW credit granted into Log4OM, then see this thread which describes an LotW Credit Granted Import program which I have developed - which uses the adif credit granted download available from ARRL. This thread describes the process - viewtopic.php?t=1755 Let me know if you would like a copy and give it a try.

This is the CONFIG.XML file that stores the configuration info for Log4OMWD3HAY wrote: This is the error I keep getting.

It's not a LOTW issue. Your OS doesn't allow Log4OM to update and save the configuration file (or it's updates)
Can you try reinstall Log4OM as ADMINISTRATOR, or run Log4OM as admin?

Re: LOTW support
Hi Doug,
Many thanks - tried out the "normal procedure" with download, took a while but seems that it found many validations...
The question now is that if I do e.g. next download with more recent dates (you can determine dates yourself), then, if somebody confirms (starting to be a LoTW user) a QSO from more erarlier times, how can I detect this? Just a random check from the beginning of my log again? Any useful hints?
