Problems with download

Post by WD9INA »

I recently tried to update Log40m from ver. 1.22.0.0 to ver. 1.25.00 and have run into problems. I did make a mistake in not deleting the old version before installing the new version.

I have a HP Pavilion with Windows installed and use "Webroot Secureanywhere" as my anti-virus. This is the first update with Windows 10.
I never had any problems with Windows 8.1.

After download and install of version 1.25.0.0 I got the following message:

Fatal error. Please report to author.

Could not load file or assembly
'Digital Display Control, Version 1.25.0.0
culture = neutral
Public key token = Null' or one of its dependencies.
The system cannot find the file specified.

I then deleted the program and tried download again. This time it seemed like it had worked.
I opened the program and my log and settings were there.
I shut down Log4OM and when I went to use it again I got the above message again.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you running Log4OM as an administrator? If not make sure you do and it should work ok.

I went to "LogOMUI.exe" did a right click and selected "Properties".
There was no "compatability" tab as my old manual said. I then downloaded a Quick start manual and it said to right click the program icon and select "run as administrator." I did this and came up with the same message as indicated above.

Will I have to delete the program and start all over again or is there a new update on selecting admin priveledges for this program.

Suggest that you uninstall using the uninstaller provided then reinstall by right click on exe file and select run as an adminstrator

I uninstalled program and reinstalled again. When I went into files I right clicked on LogOMUI.exe and got the same message so I backed out and right clicked LogOMUI and it showed "run as administrator". Clicked on it and everything went fine. Thanks for your help.
