Yaesu 897D CAT Issue - need help

I have a Yaesu 897D that I am trying to use with Log4OM. I tried Hamlib and it didn't work no matter what I tried. So I switched to Omnirig and now at least the program reads the frequency displayed on the radio and presents it in a little box in the upper right corner of Log4OM. If I turn the dial on the radio, Log4OM will display the new frequency. PTT works and will key the radio. However, when I click or double click on a post from the cluster, the program will display the clicked frequency in the QSO box, but the freq on the radio and on the upper right corner of Log4OM will not change. Nor will the mode on the radio change.

I tried it with N1MM logging software and I am able to change the frequency/mode in the software and watch the frequency and mode change on the radio. So I do not believe it is a hardware issue.

Suggestion?
