ftdx9000 cat control

I have been trying to set up the cat rig control with no success. in the cat management system it says the 9000 is untested so im guessing it dosnt support the radio for cat control ? .i have tried to use other yaesu radios on the list it connects to the 1000 mp and the 5000 but wont actually do anything as far as rig control and i see no frequency in the corner as shown on some you tube videos ,anyone any ideas or do i just need to wait till its supported ? or have i totally missed something ? and as most problems user error is at fault haha id like everything up and running before i make the change from HRD

Are you using Omnirig, if not I strongly recommend that you do.

Did you try the untested 9000 one?

HI TERRY . i have tried to use the omi settings but it comes up not installed ? now either ive made a complete hash of the download or i am i defiantly missing something, i have allowed full access through the fire wall in case your wondering that could be the problem . yes i tried the untested section but nothing happens with it ,when i use the 1000 mp the black pop up box appears saying rig connected but nothing shows up and no control

downloaded omirig software and nothing happens other than i can set the radio in the control box for omirig

I never use Hamlib its too flakey for my liking!

Download Omnirig from http://www.dxatlas.com/OmniRig/Files/OmniRig.zip Unzip it and install it as an administrator ( 'Run as administrator' from the window that appears when you right click on the .exe file)

Then follow the instruction in the user guide that I indicated previously.

Be certain that the correct com port is selected and the baud rate must match that of your Yaesu menu setting - DO NOT ALTER ANY OF THE OTHER OMNIRIG DEFAULT SETTINGS FOR YOUR RADIO, just select your radio, com port and baud rate!

You should also have installed Log4OM as an administrator when you installed it?

thanks terry i cant remember seeing the admin control think im gonna uninstall everything and start again to save time and frustration haha i will let you know what happens cheers

THANKS TERRY EVERYTHING SORTED
i went to the system files clicked run as admin on both log4om and omirig .then i checked the com port and board rate and set them correct and hey presto works
like i said in the first post user error

That's good news George, thanks for reporting back so many people don't and we are left to wonder if their issue is fixed or did they abandon Log4OM for something else.
