FT8

Hi all - I have just got onto FT8 and had my first QSO - however when I went to log it, the mode FT8 is not in the dropdown, is this my error or do I need to update the software?

You need to download and install the latest version of Log4OM for the FT8 update and

I also advise that you use JTAlert so that your FT8 & WSJT QSO's are automatically logged to Log4OM.

If you search this forum for 'FT8' you will find many posts which culminated in the latest update being released

Yesterday I installed the latest Log4om (1.30.0.0), latest wsjt-x, and latest jtalert. I made 15 contacts today, 12 were ft8. All logged correctly. I then uploaded them to lotw using log4om, but the 12 ft8's were rejected. I exported the ft8's to an adif file and, using tqsl uploaded them to lotw with no problems. 9 of the 12 were immediately verified as QSL's.

What was the LOTW error report for the failed uploads?

Since i have updatet the TQSL config file to the latest and after deleting the
self made FT8 and T10 ADIF Specs which change T10 and FT8 to DATA all is running
fine here. Also uploads from Log4OM working fine. B.t.w. i use a modelist_user file.
In original modelist is no T10 included.

The modelist_user files you can find here: download/file.php?id=1557
Unpack the ZIP file and copy the 2 files to the Log4OM configuration folder.

If he is using the old version of Tqsl it won't upload, has to be the latest version

My situation of yesterday was caused by tqsl not being updated until I used it to send the adif file. All works fine after the update.
