My TS 2000 wont connect to Hamlib but will on OMNIrig. When it does connect the sound on my radio goes out. I can see the S meter move slightly and I can key but I can barely hear anything if any at all. When I disconnect or suspend from OMNIrig the sound stays the same (can't hear anything).
I have to shut down the program and turn the radio off and back on to get the sound back. As soon as I connect to OMNIrig it happens all over again. I can select another comm port to disconnect from OMNIrig but the sound is still gone. If I select Hamlib (which it wont connect to) I can hear just fine.
Log40M was recommended to me as I was using the last free version of HRD, so I am giving it a try.

Re: TS 2000 Sound issue and OMNIrig
I have not found Hamlib of much use and always now use Omnirig.

It sounds like tour radio is going into transmit perhaps due to incorrect Omnirig settings
What interface cable are you using between the radio and computer?

I am using the RT Systems 63 cable. It works on controlling the radio on HRD and ARCP 2000 software with no issues.

Have you set RTS and DTR to high and did you try any other Kenwood configurations in Omnirig?

Re: TS 2000 Sound issue and OMNIrig
Baud Rate is 57600 the same as HRD
Data bits: 8
Parity: none
Stop Bits: 1
RTS and DTR; High
Poll int: 500
Timeout: 4000
Whatever it is, it is keeping the TS2000 sound shut off even when I unplug the USB from the laptop. I have to turn the 2000 off and back on to restore it to normal. Watching the meter it is going from about 2.5 amps+- to 8+- when I plug in the USB port and stays at 8+- when I unplug it from the USB port. I'm running Win 10 home if that makes a difference.
It has to be something simple. When I set up HRD all I had to change was the baud rate and everything worked.

Did you try another Kenwood profile like a TS570?
Have you tried a different USB port?
Have you recently done a win 10 upgrade?
Try uninstalling Omnirig and doing another Omnirig download and install

The issue is solved. Yes it was something simple. BIG BIG user error. I was selecting FT 2000 instead of TS 2000. I just did not scroll down far enough. I knew it was something simple. Thanks for all the quick support. My work schedule I was not able to get back to you right away.
