Default Band

Post by GM8MJV »

Is there a way to set the defauld band?

When I start Log4OM my system defaults to 20m - I mainly operate VHF only - how can I set band to say 2m or 6m etc. Been through options and only thing is setting default for RST etc by adding * to option on list. This does not seem to work for the bands.

Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom,

If you had CAT radio control setup, Log4OM would default to the current radio frequency and band. Not knowing what rig you are using, and if it is CAT capable, but if you can setup CAT, that would take care of the issue for you.

Otherwise, I know of no way to set a 'default' band. Without CAT, it does seem to default to 20m.

Thanks Doug

Yes I do have CAT enabled radios but 2 radios, one logger add in the digital stuff that 'likes' to take over CAT - it's a PITA thinking about getting all to talk directly - would much prefer to have the default set to the primary band and it's not 20m :-)

It's possible to have Fldigi and wsjt and Log4om to share common radios, how do you have them configured
