Absolutely trivial cosmetic stuff

With such a fantastic piece of software I feel awkward about calling out UI oddnesses. Hey, I'm pedantic about this stuff. I'd love to see these fixed, but fully understand it's not going to be top priority.

1. Clicking Connect > Band Map - the band map has the title Cluster View (which is confusing)
2. It'd be helpful to have timestamp against each entry in the band map
3. REALLY not feeling the RST sent/rec'd dropdowns. Guy gave me 439 yesterday. Took me a while to find that one in the list - at least let us type over the default 59(9).
4. Recent QSO's (F7) - should NOT have an apostrophe - I can link you learned articles on this subject
5. Abbreviations in the column headers should be capitalised: QSO Date not Qso Date. Likewise DXCC, RST, CQ Zone, ITU Zone, Contest ID, SIG etc etc etc
6. Conversely, in Propagation (F9), there's no need to capitalise RAW (it's an actual word, not an abbreviation)

Typing over works for me. I just entered your example of 439 and had no issues.

Thanks for the reply Rich. After trying again, of course you're right it is possible to overtype in the RST field.

I'd still argue against the dropdowns - they work well with a limited number of options. Here there are 5x9x9 options (and the order isn't especially convenient). It's time consuming to locate and select the one you actually need. And it gets in the way when you're trying to type. So I believe a mode-appropriate default should be shown, and let the users enter any other value they need over the top.

As Rich noted you can "type over" the drop-down if you like.

I tend to just tab from the call sign field to the first rst field and type in the signal and tab again to the second rst field and type in the signal. I never see the drop down list when I work in that mode.

Quick and simple for me.
