Adding new features

Hello all:

Following is a list of new features for improved this gem of logging:

1) Talking DX Spots. this function should be ON and OFF for the users. Good for impaired hams.

2) FIELDS

a) New fields.-Add e-mail field, sex field (OM and YL. OM by default). Also: Add unnamed fields, where users will set any name for these unnamed fields.

b) QSO Record # field. It will not a counter. It will a true field. It will assign a unique number to each QSO saved. It is good for identity by numbers QSOs were not exported (or imported). The program should allow erasing a QSO or group of QSO and should allow auto re-order or auto re-number database, instantly or manually after the user erases a QSO or group of QSOs.

c)Plan Band/Mode. When a user enters frequency, then the program auto sets the band and mode, as follows: if the user enters 14,014, then program auto-set data in band field as 20 meters and CW as mode, and so on for each band or part of the band.

d) Drag function. It means the program might allow users to move the position of any field if they drag them.

e) Color column field. It means the user can choose any color for the name of each column.

f) Formats: Add different date, time, frequencies formats.

g) State.- Open small box when a user enters QSO with an American, Canadian, Italian station to enter the State or Province data. This small box will show the initials letters of the States or Provinces. Then users will choose the correct. Good when users are entering manual data


3) SEARCH

Partial search. In comment, note or remark fields. The program could allow making the search for any word in any position. In these fields, users could write a simple word, like "Coin Collectors" "Lawyer", and so on.

4) NUMERICAL AND GRAPHICS STATISTICS FUNCTION (bars, circles, and so on)

a) The program will show all-time a small window showing the amount of QSOs saved and the amount of DXCCc countries confirmed (Two counter boxes). Users can hide or unhide this boxes)

b) Table showing countries worked or confirmed by band and mode

c) Numerical statistics by mode, by a band, confirmed, worked, waiting for QSL, and so on.

d) List of confirmed DXCC.


5) EXTRA USEFUL "BELLS AND WHISTLES" FUNCTIONS

a) Sound recorder built-in. It could allow record QSOs, phrases (good for a contest) using the sound card of the computer or external sound card. Good for saving and later replay RTTY, CW or piece of SSB QSOs previously saved.

b) 3D or high definitions maps. For allow show, both stations connected. Maps might have calls of stations are in the cluster. With a click over the call, it will auto-fill Call and Frequency in the logbook window enter. Be showed distance in kilometers or miles between the user station and the contacted or saved station

c) Scanner QSL cards built-in. It could allow users to scan both sides of any QSL associated with any contact previously saved. Set a small box that show a flag. It means that a specific Qso has a scanned QSL. Making a click over this flag will be displayed the QSL scanned.

d) Club Database. It might have a small database with the following fields: a) # field; b) Member Name; c) Address; d) Born date; e)Phone; f) Call; g) the Previous call; h) Date and i) Comments or Remark field. The program would allow making the search for any single field or field combinations. d) Silent Key Database. It will and obituary ham database. It will a small database to know all ham passed away. Fields: Name, call, Qth, Date, and Comments. This small database would allow making the search for any field or field combinations also.

e) Talking QSO cluster with both female or male voice. Users would choose a voice. can make faster or slower the talking cluster.

f) Color separate bar. It is a bar for a separate two dates of QSOs recorded. Users will choose a color. Good for seeing quickly QSOs in the "X" dates range.

g) Talk or speech the name of the fields when users are entering manually data (good for blind hams). It means user will \"hear\" a male or female voice previous enter data in specific field Sound like: \"call\", \"name\", \"qth\", \"frequency\", \"mode\", \"band\", \"comments\" and so on.

6) COUNTERS:

Will show in a small box of any window: Total amount of saved QSOs plus: Amount of countries confirmed, countries worked. Users could hide or unhide this box anytime.

7) CLUSTER.- Allow users access any call that is shown in the cluster, and post any dx call station. The program will open a map shows the distance from our QTH to the place of the country than ham wishes to be contacted. Also, program will open the enter QSO window automatically. Why not announce with male or female voice: Call station, \"Country confirmed\", \"Need this country\", \"Need this country in this band\", \"Need this country in this mode\", and so on. The user could set ON or OFF the voice announce function anytime.

8) BAND PLAN BOX.- It will show all amateur radio frequencies operation. Will show also a column for the band and another column for the mode. Useful: If the user enters manually 14,014 in the entry window or if it auto-fill data from the cluster. Then program automatically will enter 20 meters in the band data field and 599, by default, in both RST send and RST receives fields. Users could expand the range of any frequency according to the legal operation of each country.

Please ignore any of the above suggestions, if they have been added or implemented.
