FLDigi and L4Ov2

Post by 2D0PEY »

Hello,

Can anyone please assist me getting FLdigi working through Log4OM2?

I have got it to see the frequency in both windows, FLDigi does de-code. But it will not key the radio (Icom 7300).

JTDX works absolutely fine, but I must be missing something.

It worked fine with version 1.

Gavin,
Did you have any luck yet with the PTT? I have the same set-up as you and have the same symptoms. Everything works fine including clicking on a Cluster spot and Fldigi accepts the clicked station. We might be on the wrong forum, probably need to ask this on a Fldigi forum.
I like the workings of Log4OM V2 much better than my current log, so sure hope we can resolve this issue.

Gavin & Chuck,

Have y'all looked in the most current User Guide? FLDigi Integration is under that title (FLDigi Integration) and located on Page 155.

See if that will help y'all out.

yes I have, been into that section of the manual until my eyes crossed. Everything works except the PTT within FLDigi. The decoding works, cluster spots and subsequent change of frequency in FLD, move the rig dial and Log4om freq changes, FLD freq readout also changes with it. If I do a test transmission I see my xmt signal on the waterfall but no power out. I am suspect (but cannot prove) its a FLD isssue and am looking over those forums for hints. I do want to use Omnirig vs FLrig to keep the darn com port issues at bay.
Tnx for your reply.

*****EDIT******
Just shut down L4OV2. Loaded up Flrig and configured with RigCat/com port. Same issue. Off to see how we resolve that with FLdigi.

Fldigi working correctly. My initial problem with it on my last Edit response was my fault, pushed a wrong radio button.
So back to my setup on Log4OM and checked it all again. No joy. staring at screen, not sure where to go next.
Shut off anti-virus (AVAST), no joy.

Chuck,

Have you scanned through this thread? https://forum.log4om.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=4379

You could also send a message to Roland - HB9VQQ. He is an active FLDigi user and also part of the Log4OM Beta Team.

Thanks for your reply Nolan,
Read thru that extensive support subject, informative but nothing seemed to help. Lots of hoops to jump through. I guess I will give it a rest for now and go back to my other program, as much as I hate to. I tried the Win4icom (as described in that support subject) for 30 days, its nice but the waterfall and spectrum IMHO were too choppy for me.
Developer indicated to me that there was nothing he could do about that.
I do appreciate your effort.
Thanks es 73
Chuck
