ADIF_MESSAGE Creation ?

Post by KF6LU »

I'm upgrading from V1 to V2. I've got most everything set until I try and setup for use with JTALERT.
I go to Software integration, Connections .Set remote Control port to 2241 and check enable.
Then I go to UDP to "create an ADIF_MESSAGE inbound connection in Log4oMV2". At that point I'm stuck. Tried to type in a message in the UDP inbound connection box. Nothing. Then above that set service type to ADIF_message and again no luck..
I've reviewed the user manual and the JTAlert group and have not found my error. I'm missing some very basic understand of how to set this up

I was fortunate when I originally setup V1, as Mike Black remotely connected to my laptop and helped me set it up.
Trying this time to learn on my own.

Andrew,

The setup for using JTAlert with either WSJT-x or JTDX or WSJT-z is very clear with screen clips that go with the instructions starting on Page 154 of the current User Guide. The label for this section is: JTAlert and WSJT-X/WSJT-Z/JTDX set up

Once you enter in the port number and connection name and then assign the service type you have to click the green plus sign to add that new UDP connection to the box below the setup table. Maybe that is what you are forgetting to do.

Thanks Nolan;
I've got the inbound ADIF_MESSAGE finally in. If there had been a picture with the info in the port-connection name-service type fields filled that would have solved my problem. Just didn't know exactly what to type in.

again thanks. Now on to updating the info in WXJT-X and JTALERT and hopefully I'll be good to go. HI HI
