I've previously set up my ic-7300 with V2 via omnirig and WSJTX and JTALERT, all running and logging fine..
I'm now trying to set up my ic-9700 on a different laptop using windows 10 with V2 via omnirig and WSJTX and JTALERT, the problem I'm having is inserting the correct message in the UDP box,
I select port 3 and ADIF MESSAGE, and then type the inbound message,
[UDP_INBOUND] [ADIF_MESSAGE] [2235] JTALERT QSO but when you add the message to the UDP message box it now reads,
[UDP_INBOUND] [ADIF_MESSAGE] [3] [UDP_INBOUND] [ADIF_MESSAGE] [2235] JTALERT QSO
it does the same with the Rebroadcast message as well, I've tried it with version V2,2.2 / 2.3 / 2.4 only thing I've not tried is uninstalling and reinstalling LOG4OMV2 am I missing something here......
Many thanks for any help, Paul G4YBI

Re: UDP INBOUND MESSAGES
Er! Why port 3? That sounds more like a com port than a UDP port
Just set up v2 as detailed in the latest user guide for JTALER/WSJT
Set up the 9700 on the other Omnirig rig
Ensure that the correct sound devices and Omnirig rig numbers are selected in WSJT/JTALERT

Re: UDP INBOUND MESSAGES
Hi Terry,
Yes that's right the 3 is for the com port, the middle box for the UDP message, and the end box is where you select ADIF message,
the problem I have is when I type in the message [UDP_INBOUND] [ADIF_MESSAGE] [2235] JTALERT QSO in the middle box and then click to send it to the message box below it looks like this
[UDP_INBOUND] [ADIF_MESSAGE] [3] [UDP_INBOUND] [ADIF_MESSAGE] [2235] JTALERT QSO it has added
[UDP_INBOUND] [ADIF_MESSAGE] [3] on its own !!
I've already set all this up on other laptop for my ic-7300 with know problems, I am following the manual step by step, but now have run out of ideas, I'm not typing this in [UDP_INBOUND] [ADIF_MESSAGE] [3] it's adding it, it self, I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling V2 again to see if that makes any difference..
Thanks again.. Paul G4YBI

Paul,
To save several posts email me at address on QRZ and we will set up a Team viewer or Skpe session so that I can resolve this.
A reinstall will do nothing it just need to be set up correctly
