Yesterday worked all they with CAT for my Elecraft KX3.
Today reconnected everything like yesterday. Not a big deal 1 cable between rig and laptop.
CAT screen not updating when changing frequency. After very long time some update of the actual frequency.
Tried 4800/9600 speeds etc etc.
Only speed where something works is 9600. I changed USB setting in W10, in CAT settings and on the KX3. I am aware where to alter speeds.
Reinstalled program and OmniRig but no difference.
Whole program slugish while it seems waiting for CAT reponses. And it's not seconds can be minutes.....
As soon as CAT is stopped it seems more responsive.
What can i do to find the issue.
CAT worked yesterday, now slugish

Ok, took the whole setup inside the house. Watching tv with this on my mind.....does not compute.....
Found the issue.
For RIG_2 the settings was looking to COM4. But COM4 is defined for a bluetooth device on the laptop.
Althoug not aware i was using RIG_2 it still was trying to use this device for CAT.
Switchting Omnigrig settings for RIG_ to e.g. COM1. Everything is working and snappy again.
Can even set the speed to eg 38400 and also snappy.
Would there be an option to inhibit a comport in the OmniRig settings or in some way detect this type of issues?
In the late afternoon had the logfile showing in trace mode. Noticed every few seconds the scheduler starting. Can't remember what made this to stop.
PS: it is running every 5 seconds.....can't find any setting in the config 'program scheduler' that makes this triggering so fast.
