Hi Guys, this is my 1st post. SQ5EBM here, name is Miles (or polish Maciej).

Has anyone of You figured out how to make Log4OM2 work with HRDLabel 6.7?
I am trying to open the database/logbook from the HrdLabel. Log4OM chosen... address is local host, port is 8080. When i click connect it does not connect and says "unable to contact log4om". I have no idea how to get around this issue. Do i need to get a PhD @MIT in rocket science to figure this one out? :-)

I am also trying to figure out LOG4OM's own label print but after 3h i am unable to make it print what i want. It is so far from intuitive as can be. The draft prints are piling up by my desk

After switching from HRD to Log4Om i have to say that more and more i am leaning towards paying that damn 100 bucks for a new HRD. At least even the last freeware version was "blond-friendly".

Not sure if Claudio updated HRDLabel to work with the revised V1 database, perhaps send him an email.

Sorry to hear you are considering to HRD paid version but you have to do what is best for you

Will email Claudio. Tnx. That might be the best solution. I'd love to have it run with HrdLabel. Used it for years.
I make up to 5000 QSOs a year so lables save me plenty of time.

After years with HRD my transition to L4OM ain't smooth and without help from fellow hams i'd never figure it out. Still testing it. It ain't bad but sure the ux and configuration is a bit tricky and frustrating. Finally managed to get it to print labels. Yeehaw!

Is there any way to omit the Routing process in L4Om's Label Print and skip to printing labels ?

No you need to go through the sort and selection process before printing

Why did you install version 1 instead of our latest version 2

Ah!

I am fairly sure thats why HRDLabel wont connect because it was designed for version 1 some time ago and I think prior to the V1 SQLite database structure change.

You posted in the wrong part of the forum that is why bI assumed you were using V1, I will move the thread to the V2 area

Hi SQ5EBM,
are you working with internal V2 qsl printer engine or with external HRDLABEL 6.7 ?
Honestly, I was unable to get HRDLABEL to work with V1 or V2 and I configured the internal printer ...

Now with internal.
Took me a lot of time to figure it out. Still the process of confirming labels and the whole QSL VIA approach of the software is, imho, far from intuitive but i'll keep on using L4OM2.

HRDLabel was designed for L4Om V1 as was stated above and will not work with V2.

Hi Maciej,
ok, thank you for answer.
Honestly, as mentioned before, HRDLabel I was unable to make it work with V1 and let alone with V2, so I started using the internal engine after making new settings.
I will also continue to use the internal V2 label print, although it may have some more functions, such as customizing the graphics, text, etc.. Maybe in new feature in future..
