Hello,
Months I'm using version 2 now.
I had find a file for using ICom IC-9700 with omnirig, and it worked without any problem (also with version 1).
This week I update Log4om v2 to version 2.5.0.0. and now I noticed that the cat control of the icom ic 9700 is going offline. When i start the catcontrol back on it works again. you can change the freq, but after 2 seconds it goes back offline when there is no movement. When i move the vfo it sometimes comes back online.
some info omnirig:
rig 1 : Icom IC-9700 (com4; 115200; 8;None;2;Handshake/High (no change); High; 500; 4000)
rig 2: Kenwood ts-590s (no problem)
has somebody the same problem or a solution?

These settings work for me, using ver 2.6.1, Omnirig and an IC-9700. It is important to set the IC-9700 CI-V settings carefully and to also check any other log programs still work if you change the 9700 settings. Note few log programs currently have a specific 9700 setting.
On the 9700, under CI-V:
Baud rate 9600
CI-V address 7CH (to mimic an IC9100)
CI-V Transceive OFF
USB/LAN...->REMOTE Transceive Address 00h
CI-V USB Port Link to [REMOTE]
CI-V DATA Baud Rate 9600
CI-V DATA Echo Back
In Omnirig set as:
Rig type IC-9100
Port (whatever your USB connection appears as under Windows Device Manager)
Baud rate 9600
Data bits 8
Parity None
Stop bits 1
RTS High
DTR High
Poll int., ms 500
Timeout 4000

Hey Dave,
I'm using a program Win4ICOMSuite that controls the IC-9700 for several programs like Log4om, SATPC32,...
In the settings '3rd Party SH/HW' you select a port and you also need to put Echo on. When this is off LOg4om disconnects after a few seconds.
So tnx for your info and i use baudrate 57600, but the rest is the same.
