Database Seems Not Valid

Post by KB1MCU »

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I am upgrading from v1 to v2. I've used v1 for years and I like it.

Now, I'm setting up v2 and every time I close v2, I have to create a new database. It doesn't matter if the new database has one entry or 2,500 entries (I've imported all the entries from v1). It works fine until I close and then re-open v2. Once I open v2, it asks me to open a database and I get the message, "Database seems not valid" I have tried a clean install of v2 and I still get the same results. I have also tried running v2 as regular and administrator and I get the same result every time I open it, "Database seems not valid"

This is on a Windows 10 Machine.

I don't have AVG but I do use Avast and that was the culprit. Once I added Log4OM to the exceptions list, everything started working fine.

I just wish these Virus programs would notify the user that they intend to screw up their programs instead of lurking in the background and wreaking havoc
