Column headers

Post by PA0MBD »

I am using several logdatabases/callsigns and profiles. Each log/database collects different award-references. E.g. 1 logdatabase collects IOTA and RDA, another logdatabase collects WWFF and SOTA, all presented in Reference 1 and Reference 2. When I rename the reference columns in the one database with the correct name these names appear also in the second database. And when I do so in the second database, the names in the first DB are overwritten. The content of the colums in logrecord is correct.

Did I overlook something or is the conclusion correct that column names are unique, valid over all databases and not belonging to a profile?

And if so, is there a possibility that in a new version or release this can be adapted?
Using V2.9.0.0

Tnx in advance, Martin/PA0MBD

No you did not miss anything that is the way it is

Why do you keep seperate databases for these awards, you could have them all in one database and filter by call or any other field..

Seems what you really need is some more reference columns, would that help?

Hello Terry, tnx for the quick answer.
I use several databases for the surveyability and not for award-purposes. One DB e.g. is for myself as PA0MBD, one DB for the clubcall and one for the clubcontest-call,where several operators making use of. All the other DB's (not any award activity) I am the manager for.

I have to consider to comprimise this and that, cannot overlook immediately what the consequences are. And indeed, in my case it would be nice to maintain 4 reference fields, but I can live with the situation as it is. Nobody has to accomplish a immense job only for my sake, ...hi.

Good luck to the team and tnx agn.
