Calls in WSJT-X aren't getting into Log4 when minimized

Hello all and Happy Holidays. I've had this issue since installing V2 and had some time today to determine what is happening. Here's my issue (really it's a minor issue). I run WSJT-X (v2.2.2) and JTAlert (2.16.8) together along with LOG4 V2 (2.10).
Logging to Log4 when making FT8 contacts works great, no problems. My issue is when I click on a call in JTAlert, the call goes to WSJT-X and the RX and TX cursors on the waterfall change (that's all working perfectly) but the call doesn't transfer to the callsign field in Log4. Usually when I'm working FT8 I have Log4 minimized (I only have 1 monitor). I've checked all the setting in all 3 programs many times to no avail. After a couple of hours of messing with it today I accidently found out that if Log4 is maximized the calls do indeed show up in Log4 as soon as a call populates the call field in WSJT-X but when minimized it does not. Maybe most ops have 2 monitors or have a big enough monitor to have all programs maximized on their screens so it's not an issue. Maybe this has been brought up before on the forum and I missed it?? Wonder if anyone else has seen this and/or can duplicate it?

Running Win10 64bit up-to-date
Log4OM V2 v2.10
WSJT-X v2.2.2
JTAlert v2.16.8

I do not have "update UI when minimized" checked but I think I should have it. I guess I have never minimized Log4OM when making QSOs.

But I am puzzled why this even exists? And why would I ever want a situation where Log4OM is open but I do not want to log QSOs? So I minimize the program?

Please enlighten me!

Some users dont have large monitors so they minimise log4OM to save space, knowing that the logging continues even though they are not watching
