Hello All,
I have installed LOG4OM, and gone through the initial set-up and configuration...
Long story, short... Apart from a few calls(12) I have logged nothing since 2015.
Due to a few Senior moments and trying to do things whilst recovering from Chemo I'm a bit lost on how to move forward.
I have read what I believe are all the relevant individual sections in the manual, but it's getting the sequence right..??
I have a series of .adi files(3) that I have checked/tested with Clublog/HRDLOG online ADIF checking tools,
I also have a QRZ on-line log that matches exactly "one" of the .adi file
What I'm struggling with is the correct sequence of actions, should I..??
1st. Import all the .adi files
2nd. Configure Info Providers
3rd. Configure External Services,
4.th ???
or is there another sequence or procedure...
I have do have a QRZ subscription account and and also accounts on Clublog, HRDLOG and qrzcq
I plan to clear my logs on Clublog & HRDLOG before doing anything, because they contain Duplicates
I also have a LoTW account...
But that contains over 400 duplicates created by HRD in 2013 due to UTC/Local Time Bug & Mode Bug
Not sure how to address/fix that, LoTW support have not be very helpful
Sorry for the length of this post... Any help / guidance / pointers welcome, normally I'm O.K with this.
Thanks - Dave - G8LIY

Re: Log4OM Getting Up and Running
1. Follow our quick start guide or quick start Youtube tutorial which is basically
Install software
Complete station information on first start up
Create a database
Import ADIF files - Duplicates will not be imported
Now you have a working logbook!
Then set up in no particular order
CAT control
Info providers
Cluster servers
Confirmations
At your leisure or as required - Personalise the other program features

Hi Terry,
O.K...
Have done the install, initial station config, create dB, and a few prepriority tweaks
I was more concerned over the "External Services" and "Information Providers"..??
If any lookups or Uploads during import influenced what happens during adif import..??
Thanks... David
Maybe I'm a little OCD,, but I spent a lot of time deduping to get the clean ADIF's

Re: Log4OM Getting Up and Running
No that is for normal lookups and data updates in the QSO manager
ADIF import data is checked against databases included in the install and automatically updated and maintained without user intervention.
So during import we check for dupes, incorrect country name and DXCC numbers plus award references

Re: Log4OM Getting Up and Running
Most important thing is to set your backups in the program configuration
