SQLite Database max QSO

Post by VK6KC »

I have Log4OM V2.11 with SQLite which shows as max 5,000 QSO (I'm near that limit).

I have the following questions;
1. Is there a way to extend that 5,000 limit or do I need to create a new database and if I need to create a new database (presumably with yet again max 5,000 QSO's) how does the program track "worked before" and "Awards" across the different databases?
2. Alternatively should I just create a MyQSL database (export/import QSO's) and be over and done with it?

Thanks,

This is not the maximum number of QSO's in the SQLite database the number your refering to is the number displayed - Please read page 27 of the Log4OM user guide.

SQLite is good for up to around 130000 QSO's depending on the efficiency of your PC

Terry,
On the Recent QSO's (F7) tab - bottom right hand corner you can see this;
Selected 1 of 4955 (my actual QSO count) and next to it max: 5000

Also, page 27 of the User Guide is about Managing Layouts (latest V2 guide from website).

I'll see what happens when it ticks overt the 5000 mark...

Thanks

Unless you change the value it will say the same because it refers to the number displayed not the number of QSO's in your database

So if you have 25000 QSO's and the value is set to 5000 only 5000 will be displayed although look up will be done on 25000

If you change the value to 50,000 then it will display all 25,000 QSO's

If you change the value to 100 it will display the last 100 contacts of the 25,000

Hi all
terry
The first solution you indicate does not work. There is a red message saying "No QSO selected"
Second solution does work.

By the way, any operation I do where a refreshing is required, on my database of 55,000+ QSO, takes ages. Is this normal ? (using Log4OM 2 v2.11.0)
Thanks + 73

Not sure what first solution you refer to?

Try reducing the number of QSO'S viewed by default as detailed on page 27 》》》 of our user manual, you don't need to view every qso in the grid so a thousand is probably more than enough
