QSL Manager Don't Send?

Post by K5CKS »

In QSL Manager what exactly does "Don't Send" mean? Why shouldn't I send a QSL if I need the confirmation?
Thanks & 73,

Rory,

Where do you see the verbiage: "Don't Send" ??

I just looked at the QSL Manager and also did a search in the U.G. and didn't come up with that, but also may have overlooked.

Anyway ... the choice of Y, N, R, Q, I (as noted on Page 97 of the current U.G.) is what you can choose to set up as defaults for all QSOs being saved in your log.

Terry has done 3 YouTube Videos on "Confirmations" that take you through the entire process and explains those Yes, No, Requested, Queued, Ignore options.

Here are the links to the 3 Y/T videos:

Confirmations #1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yuxJhVEFFI

Confirmations #2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xingbq1d-4o

Confirmations #3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cthCCVwkXg

BTW - there is no reason in the world why you would not want to send a QSL card to confirm a QSO and nothing in Log4OM-2 from stopping you.

As for my paper QSL cards I just leave them all set for Sent & Received at "No". When I then send the physical QSL cards I either do a bulk update for those QSOs or manually one at a time. Same goes for the physical cards I receive. I edit the QSO and make the adjustment noting the card has been received and the date.
