I am using dm780 swiss last free version and the alinco dx-70t
What I can not do is get the cat control to do anything for radio due to it is not setup for cat control. everything must go threw the MIC connections.
does anyone else use this radio out there that can guide me a little on how to get ANY cat control on this radio . OR is it stay manual and just do like I do now and roll the knobs myself to where I need to be and then input all freq's in programs manual. this is the part I am trying to get done more then anything. just to let program read freq it is set to and not have to input that every time I make a change and do all that typing.
I am a disabled Ham and this will save me allot of pain in hands if It can be done . I will have my regular radio back in am onth maybe from major repairs and it will work fine like this , but till then this is what I have to work with.
I will be trying fldigi by next week I hope and get this log program working with it better cause I do not like the built in very much. not easy for my mind to wrap around it is all and too complicated to keep doing things manually and forget to make the changes. now HRD if I input it 1 time it changes across the programs at least.
Thanks for ideas help help files or a link to read on how to do it would be fine. Biggest thing is to stop pain levels in hands from typing and forgetting to make a change in program and have to go back and fix it all is more typing and pain levels dont last too long with me on radios. it actually has rendered me almost stop using ANY programs for logs and other wise not worry at all. BUT I do like a record in case the good old boys club knocks on door and asks what do I do with mny radios. I can show something at least and I can also lookup folks when a qsl card pops in and I can confirm it main thing I use logs for.
HRD is ok but it costs too much for myself to pay for it and get better support and future updates but this 1 time a year to get updates and pay more is not in my budget. So fldigi will more then likely be my final software to use and keep setup real soon. I do 98% digi modes and also Emmcomm's for my ares group. I do there winlink and email sides of our group that is my help to the area here. so fldigi will be a better choice for the price and the support and upgrade are good and sometimes often but at least they get on a problem and get it fixed asap and free. BUT everyone still needs to supportthe authors of free software and at least donate something to tell and show them there time and efforts are appreciated.

This question is answered in the other thread that you started.
However re your direct email to me about which software your should use HRD or FLDigi
FLDigi is best for emergency communications but as you have been using HRD for many years you might prefer to stick with what you know - Only you can decide.
