Good evening,
I want to switch from Hamradio Deluxe to LOG4OM.
My log is currently 108000 qso's.
So I also want to create a MYSql directly.
Only I've been busy for a few evenings now and I follow step by step the description of how to create a MYSql as described on page 120-127 of the manual but still I can't get it running here.
So I'm looking for a Youtube video where I can see what I might be doing wrong.
Can someone send me a link or can someone help me with this.
thanks in advance

Re: MYSQL?
Hello Rien,
What kind of mysql server are you running (linux server, nas...)?
What is your lan connection between your radio pc and the server?
I'm using a mysql database with log4om for a while now and I have a bit more of QSO. The fact is that log4om is practically unusable. The QSO manager not working properly. QSL manager update should be long as well as refreshing...
I made a test some time ago with a file: it's a bit better.
This mysql database is duplicate to be used with hrd: cluster is unusable but searching for a qso or qsl or statistics are working well.
To answer directly to your problem: your user must have some privileges on creating tables... Be sure that the computer on which you have the server accept connection on the port 3306. If you have ssl installed on the server, self certificate could not work. If you are on a localnetwork or on the same computer, using ssl slowing down the connections.
