I don't see it on my V2.
I upgraded a buddy's from V1 to V2 and see the communicator program.
How do I delete it or USE it in V2?
Thanks,

Re: Communicator program
Bo,
Communicator element is used in V1 ... not in V2.
Review the "current" Quick Start Guide: https://www.log4om.com/l4ong/usermanual ... ide_EN.pdf
Review the "current" User Guide: https://www.log4om.com/l4ong/usermanual ... NG_ENU.pdf
Initial setup for V2 starts on Page 16 (of the "current" User Guide) and there is a caution note about OMs moving from V1 to V2.

Re: Communicator program
Thanks for the reply!
But I cannot figure out how to delete the communicator however.
I did the adif export/import for the upgrade OK.

Re: Communicator program
Bo,
If y'all are no longer using L4OM V1 on the other PC you can remove via the Windows Control Panel Add/Remove programs.
V1 and V2 run completely independent of each other and do not communicate ... unless you happened to set up a UDP output from V2 to feed QSOs to the V1 log.

Re: Communicator program
Bo,
The "icon" on your desktop for Communicator or if you click on that icon the Communicator APP starts?
You can right clock on the icon and delete it, but that just removed the icon.
After that you can use your File Manager and go to the Program Files (x86) / IW3HMH / Log4OM / ... in that directory you will find the Log40mCommunicator.exe and remove that.
There is also an unins000.exe file in that directory that may also remove all of Log4OM (V1).
Might wait for Terry to add a 'more proper' approach.
At the least you could easily remove the icon from your desktop and that won't hurt anything else.
