Live Lookup - Missing Feature

Post by kb4jb »

I'm a relatively new user of Log4OM2. Thanks to the developer/s for a great piece of software that's rich in features and functions quite well with WSJT-X and JTAlert. However, it occurs to me that I may have missed something in the setup configuration.

Log4OM2 is logging my QSOs and they are getting posted to QRZ (I have a paid subscription) and LOTW without any action on my part. However, Log4OM does not display the call and other info for the other station when contact is made. If I type in the callsign of the contact, it does perform a QRZ lookup and display the information for the contact.

My question is, "should Log4OM automatically perform the lookup at the time of the contact? If so, can someone suggest what I am missing in my setup configuration?

Thanks.

Question relates to L4OM V2 (not V1) ... thus has been moved to the V2 portion of the Forum.

Hi Dave,

Assuming you have WSJT-x, JTAlert and Log4OM setup properly according to the User's Guide, yes, when you click on a QSO in WSJT-x or JTAlert, it should auto-fill their callsign in Log4OM and thus lookup all their data, assuming their data is available in your choice of lookup sources.

Be very careful and specific in all the details of the settings. One small error can make the whole process go south. Check everything, according to the latest User's Guide, then get back to us.
