Hi.
The 'create link on desk to Run Log4OM with this config button' doesn't work on the User configuration tab of Configuration . It allows you to click it and then select a location for the shortcut but fails to create it.
I'd like to be able to open both my configs depending if it's my home QTH config or my /P config without having to select it from the drop down each time.
Is this known as being broken please?
Thanks

Re: Can not make a Shortcut with current Config button
Thanks Terry but its not working for me. Any ideas?
It provides an option to create a new folder, which it can do that without issue but it fails to create the actual shortcut on the desktop. All the other buttons do as they should like cloning the profile etc just not the shortcut.
Any ideas. I have made sure I'm the admin and I have no issues creating a manual shortcut to other things from within windows.
Thanks

Re: Can not make a Shortcut with current Config button
What is the install path and where are your user files stored?

Re: Can not make a Shortcut with current Config button
Hi Terry, it's all the default installation paths as far as I'm aware. I'm not sure I ever altered anything at installation unless you see otherwise from where you would expect them?
C:\Users\marc\Documents\M0XYG.SQLite
C:\Users\marc\AppData\Roaming\Log4OM2\user\config.json
C:\Program Files (x86)\IW3HMH\Log4OM NextGen\L4ONG.exe" --CONFIG:bd63c0f2-ae89-4b83-a5a8-f78860def535
Everything else seem to do what its supposed to like the 'clone profile' button etc just not the desktop shortcut?
Thanks

Have you tried turning off firewalls and anti virus software?
Do you have Skype on the Log4OM PC?

Re: Can not make a Shortcut with current Config button
Hi Terry.
Ok, I have resolved it.
It was because in the description field of L4OM2 in User Configuration tab was my call sign as M0XYG/P
The shortcut cannot contain "/" or other non standard characters. I renamed each of the /P profiles by removing the forward slash and renaming it to M0XYG Portable and it worked like a charm.
Might need a rule in the data entry field of the database so that only standard characters can be entered.
Thanks for your help.
