More information please!

Log4OM version number?

Where are the QSO's not displayed?

Are there any error messages in the lower right edge of the main screen?

Error messages in Logfile?

Screen shot?

Hi, Andy,
Latest version.
Problem on 2nd computer as well.!!!
Database test, says connection OK.
Opens OK
Green connected in bottom right corner.
But Recent QSOs & awards blank.
No REFRESHING.
Files stored on Google Drive, visible on 2 computers.

I copied, moved, did a bunch and IT WORKS!!!
I wish I could recall what I did, and took notes.

A guy panics at the thought of LOGBOOK loss!
Thankfully the backups saved me.

One quick question.
I have one backup doing .sqlite and another doing .adi
Are BOTH OK for restoration or is the .sqlite the preferred and .adi the 'last option' restore?

Thanks for the reply, I can sleep again.

Bo,

Seems I recall you having had other d/b issues in the past, but can't recall for sure.

Regardless I strongly suggest that you download the current release of our extensive User Guide and read about the Backup (discusses both ADIF and SQLite) on Page 190.

Restoration is discussed starting on Page 236.

Even if you fail to properly set up backup paths and routine there is always a backup made in what is called a "Historic" folder. Again on Page 236.

Using the Google Drive (IE: Cloud storage) is good, but unless properly configured can add levels of issues to deal with. Cloud Storage of Databases is covered in the U.G on Page 19.

It would be wise to take some time to review those elements.

Thanks for the response.
I am totally aware of the backup setup and Google drive use. It has been working well.

(My not-responding errors have diminished but the keyboard delay times remain. For rapid log entry I simply use another program and import the data later)

I was just baffled as to the disappearance of my DISPLAYED QSOs, when they were still in the file, and I had done nothing to cause it. Other than a Windows update.

For restoration I have been renaming the latest backup .sqlight file to the normal filename and copying it to its normal place. That works fine.

Thinking perhaps that the .adi file did not contain all the info needed for LOG4OM.
Reading the docs indicate the simpler way of importing the .adi file.
Perhaps a little easier, but at least I know no info will be lost.

All is well but I didn't make notes on what I did to fix it. :)

Thanks
